President's Message - December 2006

PRESIDENTS' MESSAGE,

I want to give a big THANK YOU to Ben and Donna Avila for arranging our camp out and participation in the Habitat Build in Santa Barbara. They couldn't have done a better job of planning something that our Roamin' Catholics could be proud of. We worked hard, we ate well, we socialized and we prayed, I think that covers what we stand for as a chapter. I know there will be a complete report on our rally so I won't try to repeat it, but I do want to thank all who were able to attend, those that could work, those that couldn't work, the support is what we need. Bob and Gen provided us with lunch one day and also desert after our delicious dinner at a local restaurant.  

We have a schedule for the Indio Rally January 10th - 14th.

Wednesday January 10th
  • 3:00 PM      Meeting
  • 4:00 PM      Mass
  • 5:00 PM      Potluck

    Please keep in mind that we do need a quorum for meeting so that it will count as one of our mandatory meetings.

    We are lucky to have the Fine Arts Building available to us for 3 hours, we have had to really rush in the past but this should give us time to relax a little at our dinner. Does anyone want to volunteer to be in charge of our pot luck??  

    Father says he will be here, even though he has not retired, says he can't find a replacement.
    The Mass Schedule:
  • Thursday - 7:30 AM
  • Friday - 7:30 AM
  • Saturday - 4:00 PM?  This may be 4:30 PM, I have not seen the program as yet.
  • Sunday - 7:30 AM

    We will have only 45 minutes for our morning Masses, so anyone that can help Father set up and put away his things please do so.

    We also need help for the Chapter Fair. Anyone with ideas for decorating or that can help man our booth please let me know. A reminder: Dues are due January 1st, 2007
