MEATBALL BISCUITS
Serve these with your
favorite heated marinara or spaghetti
sauce & a bowl of fresh grated parmesan cheese!
1 can Grands
Flakey layered refrigerator biscuits
8 frozen cooked Italian style
meatballs (thawed & cut in half)
2 sticks mozzarella string
cheese (each cut into 8 pieces)
2 tablespoons parmesan Cheese
¼ teaspoon garlic granules of
powder
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
(I use Good Seasons dry Italian dressing mix)
1-1 ½ cups you favorite spaghetti
or marinara sauce (heated at serving time)
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 375
degrees. Mix together
the parmesan cheese, garlic granules & Italian seasonings & set aside.
Separate the biscuits into 8 pieces & then separate each biscuit into
two rounds through the middle. Press the
biscuits out to make a 3 inch round.
Place a piece of cut string cheese in the middle of the dough as well as
a half meat ball, cut side up. Wrap the
dough around the meatball & cheese, pressing together
the seam to seal. Place seam side down
on 9 or 10 inch pie pan. Sprinkle evenly
with parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning & garlic mixture. Serve with warm sauce & extra parmesan
cheese for dipping. (A note: I’ve used Swedish meatballs from IKEA &
made the IKEA meatball sauce for dipping along with Lingenberry
jam! My Scandinavian heritage made me
do it! YUM!)
