CHEDDAR POTATO SOUP FOR A GANG

(Soooooo Delicious & Soooooo Easy!)

8 cans cheese soup, condensed

˝ gallon whole milk

2 medium onions, diced

2 pounds bacon, chopped

2 packages broccoli flowerets, frozen

2 packages hashed brown potatoes, frozen

 

Directions:

 

Chop the bacon into small pieces & sauté until done.  Drain the fat, reserving a small amount in the pan to sauté the onion until transparent.  In a LARGE soup pot, add the ingredients in order & mix well.  Blend the soup & milk well before adding the remaining ingredients. The hash browns are not browned & they & the broccoli can be added frozen.  Simmer on low to medium low until the soup is very hot & cooked through.  Stir while the soup is heating to prevent it from sticking & scorching.  Season with pepper.  The soup & the bacon have enough salt.  Use ˝ of this recipe to fill your crock pot. Serves about 24 cup size servings.
