BEEF KABOBS

 

Easy entrée for dinner or picnic!

 

2 pounds flank steak

10 ½ ounce condensed consume

1/3 cup dry white wine or apple juice

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 cloves garlic, crushed & minced

¼ teaspoon onion powder

1 1/3 tablespoon cornstarch

 

DIRECTIONS:

 

Soak wooden skewers in water at leas one hour to prevent burning when BBQing or broiling.  Cut the meat in thin strips diagonally across the grain.  Mix all the marinade ingredients in a large zip lock bag.  Add the meat strips & marinate at least 3 hours or overnight.  Thread strips on skewers.  Broil or BBQ to desired doneness.  Pieces of peppers, onion wedges or pieces, mushrooms & cherry tomatoes can be interspersed on the skewers with the meat or be threaded on separate skewers. Brush with meat marinade.
