The Northwest Area Executive Board Elections will be held at the Business and Planning Meetings. The dates of the meeting are April 7-9, 2010, at the Land Yacht Harbor RV Park in Lacey, Washington. Your chapter has two votes, please notify the Area Secretary, Kathie Balogh, the names of the delegates from your chapter as soon as possible(if you have already done so, thank you!).

The Nominating Committee has sent the resumes of the nominees to be posted on the Northwest Area website and they will be posted soon. Additional nominations can be made from the floor. Please click on Bulletin Board to read the resumes.

The meeting will be held at the Land Yacht Harbor RV Park in Lacey, Washington. This will be the first business meeting of the year. We will also be finalizing the planning for the convention volunteers required for FMCA’s 84th International Convention August 11-14, 2010 in Redmond, Oregon.

The schedule is as follows:

Wednesday, April 07 Chapter Delegates Arrive
Business Meeting begins at 1:00 p.m.
Social Hour – 5:00 p.m.
Dinner – 6:00 p.m.
Carolina Pulled Pork and Buns, Caesar Salad, and Dessert

Thursday, April 08 Coffee & Pastries – 8:30-9:30 a.m.
Business Meeting Resumes – 9:30 a.m.
Lunch on your own
Planning Meeting Begins – 1:30 p.m.
Social Hour – 5:00 p.m.
Dinner – 6:00 p.m.
Chicken and Dessert Provided
Pot Luck – Please bring a Side Dish or Salad

Friday, April 09 Coffee & Pastries – 8:00 a.m.
Business Meeting (may resume) – 8:30 a.m.
Depart RV Park – Safe travels to everyone!

The association is providing the meals described above, plus 2 nights’ site fees. The RV sites include water, electric and sewer at the RV site. If you plan to arrive prior to April 07, or wish to stay after the planning meeting, the nightly fee is $20.00 per night (plus tax). Pay for the extra nights to our area secretary, Kathie Balogh.

Attendance is limited to 2 coaches per chapter. We need the president, national director, alternate national director, or the designated delegate for the chapter (any two) who has the authority to speak for your chapter to attend this meeting. Please notify the association secretary, Kathie Balogh, as to who the delegates are from your chapter who will be attending. Your spouse is welcome to attend. This information is also posted on the FMCANW Area Website, http://fmcanw.org.

Please forward this information to all Northwest Chapter Members.

I have received an email from Allen Rein, Rocky Mountain Area National Vice President, requesting additional help with volunteering at the 83rd International Convention in Albuquerque, March 22-25 2010.

Volunteers are needed for Security, Seminars, Trams, and Handicapped Carts. If you or any of your Chapter members are attending the Albuquerque Convention and wish to volunteer, please email our Northwest Secretary, Kathie Balogh at kabalogh@telus.net. Please include the volunteer's name, email address and telephone number on your list. Kathie will provide the Rocky Mountain with a list of Northwest Area volunteers.

At this time, please don't forget to sign up to volunteer with our Captains for the 84th International Convention to be held in Redmond, Oregon, August 11-14, 2010.
